The new audiobook Tales from the Café invites you to a trip to a First Republic café
The authors and performers of the new audiobook invite listeners to a lovely and sometimes nostalgic trip to a First Republic café. The authors have selected short stories and feuilletons by the most famous Czech writers of the interwar period. Literary texts by masters of the Czech language transport us to a time when "the world was still in order". In the works of Karel Čapek, Eduard Bass, Jaroslav Hašek and Karel Poláček, we will always appreciate the exquisite Czech language, the engaging narrative and the timelessness. Although the café stories were written almost a hundred years ago, their ideas are unexpectedly contemporary. We will be convinced by actors Josef Somr, Ladislav Frej, Jan Kanyza, Jiří Dvořák and Martin Stránský.
