When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, it's far from certain who will protect humanity from them this time. Will anyone be able to stand up to them as an equal, rather than just becoming their prey? Humanity's last hope of salvation from these cosmic hunters rests with a small, ragtag crew of former and completely insane soldiers and a young evolutionary biologist.
