Prefect

The novel The Prefect is set in the year 2427 in the Epsilon Eridani system. Tom Dreyfus, the best prefect in the police force guarding the security of the Glitter Band, is dealing with a seemingly uninteresting misdemeanour when a crisis strikes. Following an attack on one of the habitats, the casualties number in the millions. And that's just the beginning.
