Pride and Prejudice

One of British author Jane Austen's bestselling books is a funny, slightly ironic and dreamy return to late 18th century England. The five Bennet sisters are guided by their nosy and gossipy mother to the view of life that a woman is happy only when she marries richly. When the unmarried and wealthy Mr Bingley moves into a nearby manor house, the eldest Jane immediately succumbs to him. The younger Elizabeth feels affection for his friend, Mr Darcy, who, however, reveals himself to be a closed snob. Is it possible to love and hate one man at the same time? Will Elizabeth's prejudice and Darcy's pride bring about the downfall of both? The classic story, whose magic has not been cast by time in the slightest, is interpreted by Dana Černá.
