Pride - DVD

The oppressed of all countries, unite!
Inspired by a true story

The year is 1984. Margaret Thatcher, nicknamed the Iron Lady, is the British Prime Minister. During her time in office, miners' strikes are reaching their peak.
During Gay Pride in London, a group of activists decides to help the miners' families by organising a collection for them. However, the National Union of Mineworkers is reluctant to accept their help. The reason is simple: they don't want to be accused of openly sympathising with the gay movement. Undeterred, the activists decide to ignore the union's decision and head directly to a small village in Wales, intending to hand over the proceeds directly to the families.
And so begins an extraordinary story of two different communities, which ultimately leads to a surprising partnership.
