Princess Diary

Mia Thermopolis is convinced there’s nothing worse than being a first-year in secondary school, failing maths (and her mum is dating the teacher!), having A-cup breasts, and on top of all that, being hopelessly in love with the most popular boy in school, who is, of course, dating her arch-enemy. But then her dad reveals that he is the crown prince of Genovia, a small European principality, and she is the heir to the throne! As if secondary school wasn’t hard enough, Mia now has to deal with princess duties. This is the book on which the film of the same name is based. Recommended for ages 13+
