Princess with a Golden Star - DVD

One of the classic Czech film fairy tales, lacking nothing of what a proper fairy tale should have. There's the beautiful Princess Lada, whose forehead is adorned with a gold star, her father, worthy, but a rather loose ruler, the evil King Casisworld, who storms the castle and demands the hand of the Princess Lady. There is a kind and wise nanny who not only has Mr. King under her thumb, but also good advice at hand. There's a fairy mouse fur coat that hides the princess's beauty as she flees the kingdom. And there is the kingdom of Prince Radovan with its royal kitchen, where the disguised Lada finds asylum among the cooks under the strict eye of the chief royal cook, who, though a grumpy man, has as good a heart as the dishes he lovingly prepares for his prince. And of course there's the prince, who falls in love with a beautiful lady he spots at a castle ball, unaware that she's the cook who washes dishes in his royal kitchen.
