Programming in Excel 2010 and 2013

Like all previous versions of Excel, the latest version of Excel 2013 comes with Visual Basic for Application development tools, including a code editor. This allows you to create macros using logging, and in addition develop custom programs and functions by directly writing code in VBA. The VBA editor also lets you create and use custom dialog boxes, add custom controls to the Excel workbook, and create new custom add-ins. Creating your own programming code in conjunction with user dialogs allows you to greatly expand the capabilities of Excel 2013, not only for your own use, but also for a wider range of users, e.g. for the needs of the corporate network. This book assumes no prior knowledge of programming. You will get familiar with creating macros in Excel 2013 from the very beginning.
