Prokeš Josef: I pay drowning, coffee and rum - CD
The CD of Josef Prokeš' s nine short stories “I pay for drowning, coffee and rum“ follows on from his previous two author' s CDs “At least shut up when you' re wondering“ and “Miss going to perform? ”, Which were originally intended only for blind students of Masaryk, but the interest in them showed a much wider circle of listeners. The peculiar author' s manuscript bears traces of rich life experiences, sympathetic tinkering, indulgent intoxication with the pleasures of life, but also a hunch of something math physical. Josef Prokeš sees the world here with all its rawness and merriment, fascinated by ordinary human desires and feelings, he balances on the edge between irony and indulgence. The sarcasm of the short stories is supported by a peculiar stylization with distinct points, in which even the harsher linguistic means in the author' s interpretation acquire an unexpectedly poetic dimension amplified by Zdeněk Filipec' s musical undertones. It is a poetics based on colloquial Czech and dialects, on core expressions, new metaphors and the enchantment of the poetry of vulgarisms, but at the same time the poetics is in a way fragile, sometimes even old-world. All this is amplified by a special presentation by the author.
