Protector - DVD

Radio reporter Emil Vrbata and actress Hana are married. The year is 1938, the attractive Hana celebrates her first success in film, she is surrounded by admirers.
The German occupation and the beginning of the war would turn their lives upside down. Hana is confronted with her Jewish origin, from the heights of a hopefully launched career she falls to the bottom of the social ladder.
Emil takes the chance to save and control Han' s life at the same time. He refuses divorce, stays in a “racially mixed marriage“ for Hanina' s protection, and becomes the voice of German propaganda. But the contract with the devil takes its toll. Emil' s self-esteem is crumbling, love for Hana is turning into “protectoration“, marriage is falling into indifference.
