Queen: On Air (2x CD) - CD

Tune in. Queen On Air!
The Complete BBC Radio Sessions.

The Queen sovereignly dominated the musical 1970s - this is very well documented. From their stellarly ambitious debut of the same name in 1973 to the album A Night At The Opera, which brought them to the absolute peak in 1975, this unique band made history as the most visionary, inventive and charismatic group of the decade. But there is another form of Queen' s rocket success that has so far been largely overlooked .
Between February 1973 and October 1977, the band recorded six radio sessions exclusively for the BBC. This groundbreaking recording resulted in twenty-four recordings that included alternative versions of the debut single, unique album tracks, and radically reshaped versions of one of their most famous songs that had never appeared on Queen' s studio albums before.

Queen On Air is more than a collection of rare recordings - it' s an amazing capture of the rise of a legend.
