Queensryche: Empire Ltd Clr

LP Record Queensrÿche’s third album, Empire, was released in 1990 and is considered their commercial breakthrough. The album peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA. Empire spawned several hit singles, including "Silent Lucidity" and "Jet City Woman", and the album's title track was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. Empire is a concept album that tells the story of a soldier who is sent to war and then struggles to adjust to life back home. The album's lyrics are written from the soldier's perspective, and the music is heavily influenced by progressive metal and heavy metal. Empire is a well-crafted album that is ambitious both musically and lyrically.
