Randová Edita: Večerní písně - CD

This CD brings you masterpieces by Antonín Dvořák such as In Folk Tone, Songs to words by Eliška Krásnohorská, Evening Songs Op. 3, Evening Songs Op. 31, and also one song cycle by Bedřich Smetana, Evening Songs.
In fact, the entire CD is named after these three cycles: Evening Songs.
The performer, together with pianist Vladimír Strnad, has tried to capture the atmosphere of the works by the pioneers of modern Czech music, A. Dvořák and B. Smetana, as faithfully as possible.

Mezzo-soprano Edita Randová decided to record these cycles as it is with Dvořák's music that she has celebrated her greatest successes abroad, thus fulfilling her promise to listeners to record Dvořák's complete song repertoire.
