Rédl (2DVD) - DVD

This four-part series uncovers the criminal background of a strange story of organised crime in post-revolution Czechoslovakia. Who can you even trust anymore?

Czechoslovakia, 1992—the communist regime has only recently fallen, and the Soviet occupying army is hastily withdrawing back to Eastern Europe by rail. The wagons leaving the country are packed with weapons, spare parts, ammunition and other valuable items.
Two young students, testing a new railway tracking system, discover that some of the Soviet wagons are inexplicably disappearing from the records on their way east. The two men decide to get to the bottom of the problem. A few days later, one of them is found dead and the other is presumably on the run. Warrant Officer Roman Rédl and his team of investigators are trying to find out the motive for the murder and just how far the threads of the crime extend, possibly crossing the borders of Czechoslovakia to somewhere far to the east.
