Reed Lou: Original Album Series (5x CD) - CD

Lou Reed was an American rock singer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, photographer and casual actor.

He is best known as a founding member and lead lyricist of The Velvet Underground, later also for his solo career, which lasted several decades. Although Velvet Underground was not a commercial success during its existence, the group is still described as one of the most influential groups ever.

The group ranked 19th in the Rolling Stone magazine' s list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.

Reed co-created the foundations of rock, helping to bring more intellectual ideas. Reed' s texts were often on topics that were taboo, such as sadomasochism, transvestitism, prostitution, or drug addiction.
After leaving the band, he embarked on a solo career in 1971, the following year releasing the song “Walk on the Wild Side“, which became a hit. She placed sixteenth on the Billboard 200 and tenth on the UK Singles Chart.

The song “Perfect Day“ was released on the B-side of the single. Reed frustrated by the bad criticism of his albums, in 1975 he released the experimental Metal Machine Music, a double album constructed using loops and feedback.
