Rosa and Björk

An outstanding Nordic noir novel in which raw beauty and emotional power are literally breathtaking.

A place where ice and fire fight for supremacy.

An unusual murder occurs in the remote Icelandic fjords. An influential local politician is found shot dead on the ski slopes. During the murder investigation, investigator Hildur Rúnarsdóttir and her Finnish partner Jakob Johanson are faced with a difficult question: Is it wise to reveal all the secrets?

They slowly begin to unravel the mystery of the long-lost girls, Rósa and Björk. Hildur's childhood traumas return, while Jakob tries to keep a cool head in the middle of a complex custody dispute with his ex-wife.

Evil often lurks close to home, but the closeness of people remains the best thing we have.
