Ruml Ondrej: Nahubu - CD

He managed to create eleven musical instruments and, of course, a “normal” male and sometimes even female singing voice, plus about ten animal sounds. This is a completely unique album, where his own work intertwines with originally arranged Czech and foreign songs.

Singer, musician and actor Ondřej Ruml is a stalwart of our music scene. With his last album, Ondřej Ruml zpívá Ježka, Voskovce a Wericha (2014), he captivated not only listeners but also music critics, who praised his sensitive yet distinctive approach to arranging songs that many consider untouchable. This year, he participated in the realisation of the demanding Bernstein's Mass project. Besides his other activities, his involvement in Michal Horáček's extraordinary theatre project Kudykam and his contribution to Horáček's Český kalendář (Czech Calendar) are unmissable. He has played lead roles in musicals such as Joan of Arc, Quasimodo, Hamlet, and more. He has also taken part in several exceptional concert events (e.g., as a support act for the French singer ZAZ, the Michal Horáček Tribute, Barování v Lucerně, Noc na Karlštejně Live, etc.) and sings swing with big bands across the country. He regularly performs solo with the Matej Benko Quintet and on his own with a looper, which allows him to sing entire songs by recording sound loops live on stage in real time.
