Rose is red

A fairy tale on Irish motifs with Luděk Munzar and Vladimír Brabec. The hero Finn McCool knitted what he could out of straw and wicker. He was returning from the market one humid summer evening. At a stream, half a mile before the village, he got lost. His head spun and he fell asleep on a stone from exhaustion. He had strange dreams: the elves in the underground realm sang the song Rose is Red. The Elf King decided to grant him a wish out of gratitude. To repay him twice, he gave Finn a magic ring: when he looks at a man through it, he can read his heart. They'll see what someone really feels. Performers: Ludek Munzar, Vladimir Brabec, Zdeněk Martínek, Jiří Plachý, Svatopluk Skládal, Oldřich Musil, Klara Jerneková, Roman Hemala, Vladimír Bičík, Čestmír Řanda and Zdeněk Braunschläger directed: Jan Berger.
