RYTMUS Estate Dream - DVD

An interesting film, not least because the main character learns a lot about himself and his own personal history. It wasn't an easy one. As a bonus, he was also dealt a hefty dose of racism. All of this amplifies Patrik's remarkable story: everyone had written him off, yet completely outside of official channels and mainstream media, he grew into a symbol for the younger generation, primarily thanks to the internet. His message not only captured their interest but, most importantly, felt authentic. It's a somewhat different story from the one offered by the glitzy, regional Slovak-Czech showbiz scene. Authenticity, which also captivated me, always has its value. It's as if fate dealt Patrik a bad hand from the start, but he handled it in a way that many can now envy. The film shows this well and could be an encouragement to many. As it was for me.
