S+H Theatre: Hurvínek's Nature Trips - CD

Another title from the archive recordings of the protagonists of the S+H Theatre (the former director and long-time performer of Spejbl and Hurvínek, and the current director of the theatre, Helena Štáchová, the performer of Mánička and Aunt Kateřina) offers four scenes whose common denominator is Hurvínek's "discovery" of nature. It goes without saying that this all happens with the participation of dad Spejbl and the ever-present Mánička, and that it's a lot of fun. The deliberately misleading title of the first scene, with the abbreviation OP, hints at what Hurvínek could be considered. However, it doesn't stand for an old man, but for a "protector of nature", a theme that Miloš Kirschner masterfully develops in the dialogue between Spejbl and Hurvínek, not only with his characteristic humour but also with a pinch of didactic undertone that is still very relevant today. A classic scene is then Syslus modrobulvus, a masterful verbal creation that two generations of listeners still remember.
