Schelinger Jiří: I' m supposedly crazy only (2x CD) - CD

Jiri Schelinger would have turned fifty-five this March - and for 25 seasons we know that will never happen! His previous partial selections are followed by this new compilation, somewhat sadly but also quite rightly named as definitive, as it offers the maximum possible views on the singer's already closed legacy.

The scope of a truly packed 2CD is used to showcase two dozen of Schelinger's big hits and an equal number of recordings that cross the pop landscape toward hard rock or, conversely, gentle acoustic snapshots. For the first time ever, all of these 40 tracks will also receive a complete audio remastering bath: a major qualitative shift upwards can therefore be expected, even from a purely technological point of view.

Profile of Schelinger as a singer of absolutely popular songs like Pigeon House, Rene, me and Rudolph, Knitting wires, Strawberries frozen, Willy the Robber or The Pedal Wheel is supplemented for his portrait by equally substantial recordings in a somewhat different style. Ballads, folk, Blues, but most of all, pretty radical rock for the time, that its universality is still unsurpassed in our country - and also, that typically disguised voice is still fascinating to this day!
