Suicide
The sixth case for Hana Vítková and David Winkler
In a usually peaceful village, the mutilated body of beekeeper Bedřich Bláha is discovered. During the investigation, it comes to light that he shot himself with his own gun after being diagnosed with cancer. The case therefore appears to be a clear suicide. However, the discovery of a letter sent to Bláha by a mentally disturbed person, and the finding that someone was watching him before his death, lead investigators Hana Vítková and David Winkler to question whether he truly ended his life voluntarily. Furthermore, they discover that he was not the only seriously ill person to have ended their life under suspicious circumstances. Could they be dealing with an angel of death? Or is there something else entirely behind these suspicious suicides? This crime novel, full of suspense and unexpected twists, reveals that nothing is as it first seems.
