See you in Paris

In the pages of the forthcoming book, the author looks back over the last five or six years of her work, during which she has systematically followed news and events in French society, especially in culture and literature. The result is a series of meetings with artists, scientists, businessmen and politicians, and therefore dozens of interviews, which Irena Jirků published in Hospodářské noviny during this period, or on ihned.cz and aktualne.cz. It is from these texts that she has selected interviews with French writers whose works Czech readers could get acquainted with in Czech translations; most of the interviews were conducted during the authors' visits to the Czech Republic. However, for the collective edition, she added texts that had not been published before, expanded them with passages that did not fit into the newspaper, and "spiced" them up with other interesting information. How else - with information about contemporary French people, whom he dares to consider his friends, and about France, where he feels a bit at home too.
