Škwor: Sliby & Lži - CD

Sliby & Lži (Promises & Lies) is the tenth release in the complete discography of the rock group Škwor.

It is being released in the year the band celebrates its fifteenth anniversary. Instead of commemorating it with a greatest hits collection, as is often done and which they could easily put together from their older tracks, they have decided to release a new album.

Over the years, this Prague quartet has found a sound that even a less trained ear can recognise. They have confirmed this with the album Sliby & Lži. The driving choruses are preceded by atmospheric and melodically appealing verses, all tied together by Petr Hrdlička's urgent vocals and a massive sound that has long surpassed the standard of the domestic average. Acoustic guitars, piano or accordion are the instruments that have enriched some of the songs. And they often feature right at the beginning, setting a mood that hints at what the track will bring in its first moments. The first single from the album, for which a music video is currently being made, is the dynamic track "Poslouchej" (Listen).
