Slováček Felix: Salto solo - CD

An excellent opportunity for admirers of saxophonist and clarinetist Felix Slováček

and his orchestra! An album of instrumental versions of domestic and foreign compositions with a hallmark of quality liking was created in the Karlín radio studio A, which Slováček' s band recorded in arrangements and under the baton of Vladimír Popelka. From the Czech repertoire, Karel Svoboda (Circus Humberto and Three Nuts for Cinderella), Bohuslav Ondráček Handcuff Me are represented here twice, and Ráž' s Eighth Continents is a federal loan. Film themes (Mysterious Island, Doctor Živago or From Russia With Love) arrived from Slováček' s album, as well as excerpts from the repertoire of great singers such as Elton John (Sacrifice) or Lionel Richie (Still, Truly). The decoration is Italian folk or opera-popular motifs, even without singing worthy of the name belcanto.

Moody music for evening moments of calm, a delight for all with a weakness for a rich orchestral sound.
