Small Town Murders

Four detective stories, one investigator and an unnamed Czech town.

Dana Králíčková, a young adept in criminalistics, starts her first job and finds herself straight into the investigation of a mysterious murder. Little does she know that there are more intricate cases waiting for her and that over time she will develop into an experienced captain and head of the investigating team. All this can be seen in four detective stories that found their precursor in stories broadcast on Czech Radio. Together with the second lieutenant and later the captain, we uncover the subtle threads of motives that lead to the crimes. The author gives us an insight into the often complex motives and circumstances behind each murder.
