Social Distortion: White Light White Heat White Trash
LP Record Singer-songwriter Mike Ness and his three bandmates spent four years working on the album "White Light White Heat White Trash", which was released in 1996. The new LP (unlike its country and rockabilly-oriented predecessor) was heavily influenced by the "first wave of American punk", with idols like the Dead Boys, The Dickies, X, and Johnny Thunders. Incidentally, Social Distortion, who formed in the early 80s in Orange County, Southern California, managed to get none other than Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers) to produce "White Light...".
