Katarína Gillerová
She was born in Kremnica and grew up in Žiar nad Hronom, where she studied at the Secondary School of Economics. After graduating, she moved to Bratislava and completed her studies at the University of Economics while working. She is married, has one son, and works as an economist. The author, who is described as the Slovak Danielle Steel, has published more than a dozen novels for women in the Czech Republic. These include Zapomeň na minulost (Forget the Past, 2012), Kroky v dešti (Steps in the Rain, 2017), Cizí ložnice (A Stranger's Bedroom, 2018), Život plný iluzí (A Life Full of Illusions, 2020), Jen trochu lásky (Just a Little Love, 2020) and Dívka v zrcadle (The Girl in the Mirror, 2021). She followed up her book Příliš mnoho tajemství (Too Many Secrets) with a loose sequel, Příliš mnoho vzpomínek (Too Many Memories). A departure from her usual work is the mystery thriller Mlha mezi námi (The Fog Between Us).
