Son of the Shadow

Jon Sprunk returns to the roots of classic action fantasy…
In the sacred city of Othir, treachery and depravity can be found in every alley, making it the perfect place for a freelance assassin with no allegiance and very few scruples. Caim makes a living by the blade, but when a routine job goes wrong, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of treacherous intrigue. He has no choice but to confront corrupt lawmen, murderous rivals, and sorcery from the Other Side, with his only allies being Josephine, the wealthy daughter of his last victim, and Kit, a spirit guardian whom only he can see. In the fight for his life, Caim trusts only his knives and his instincts, but they won't be enough when his quest for justice takes him from the dangerous alleys of Othir to the lavish mansions of the powerful. To uncover the conspiracy at the heart of the empire, he must embrace his legacy as the Son of Shadow…
