Song for Katherine

Pavel Leitner lives in Leiden, the Netherlands, where he emigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1970. He owns a second-hand bookshop, and after the breakup of his long-term marriage, his only companion is his cat. One day, his peaceful life is disrupted by a phone call from his old homeland. A young man named Petr has a letter for him, entrusted to him on his deathbed by his father, Leitner' s old acquaintance. The event throws the aging antiquarian into a whirlwind of memories - of his youth, his native land, and most importantly, of the beautiful Kateřina, Peter' s mother.
