Soundgarden: A-Sides (Re-edition 2018) (2x LP) - LP

Soundgarden is an American rock band that was formed in Seattle in 1984. The original members were singer and guitarist Chris Cornell, solo guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. In 1986, drummer Matt Cameron joined the band, and in 1990, Ben Shepherd replaced bassist Yamamoto.

Soundgarden were one of the key bands in the creation of the grunge style, along with Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. They also pioneered alternative metal, along with Helmet, Rage Against the Machine and Jane' s Addiction.

Soundgarden achieved their greatest success in 1994 with the album Superunknown, from which the singles “Black Hole Sun“ and “Spoonman“ won a Grammy Award. In 1997, the band disbanded due to internal disputes. In 2010, however, they reunited.
