The third step towards darkness, Sounds in the Dark, again begins with a short story by the American master of horror Howard Phillips Lovecraft
This time it is Erich Zann's Music from 1921, considered by the author himself to be one of his best works and rightly included in various horror anthologies to this day. The second story is from the pen of Bram Stoker in Dublin, Ireland. Yes, THAT Stoker, author of the epistolary novel Dracula - the first ever treatment of the vampire legend in a literary, novel-length work. His short story The Judge's House from 1914 stands out above all for its dense atmosphere of fear. Both stories are read by Petr Šmíd and accompanied by music by Marek Mrkvička.
