Rachael Schwartz was a charming but troubled Amish girl who left the community years ago and ran away from Painters Mill. Why did she return to town? And who could have had a reason for her brutal murder? Kate begins to dig into Rachael's past, but the more she learns about her life, the more she realises that she had more than enough enemies – among both the Amish and the “English”. This was due to her explosive nature and her unwillingness to submit to any rules.
