Shadows in the Soul

Dominika is sixteen and hasn't spoken for ten years. She has learned to live with her handicap and doesn't really need words to get by, but she's burdened by the knowledge that one day she will have to speak. To say what actually happened all those years ago – on a summer's day at her birthday party. When her mother decides to take her younger, troubled sister Judita in from an institution, the family, already barely holding together, begins to fall apart. And then Jakub arrives, the son of distant acquaintances, who is supposed to live with them in the house and who is also hiding something.
