Stonemasonry has undergone a very long development, with its origins dating back to antiquity. The craft knowledge passed down orally was partly forgotten over time. An effort to revive this forgotten craft led, at the turn of the 19th and 20thcentury of Professor R. Jundrovský to write the almost encyclopaedic Stonemasonry manual.
