Stories from one pocket

Tales from Both Pockets, written in 1929, is one of the gems of Czech modern prose, which nowadays belongs to the classics. These are a series of crime stories. More important than the discovery of the crime, however, is Čapek's insight into the souls of the thieves and the good law enforcement officers. For this 2CD we have selected the following short stories: The Stolen File, The Selvin Case, The Seer, The Murderous Attack and Crime at the Post Office.
