Stranger on the Train - DVD
Michael MacCauley lives a contentedly dull family life, free from any ups and downs. He sells insurance, lives with his family outside the city, and commutes to and from work on the same regular train. Every day for the past ten years, ever since he left the police force. Today hasn't been great, and just like always, he boards the train, looking forward to getting home. He greets the familiar conductors and faces. The doors close, the train pulls out of the station, and there's no sign yet that this journey will be completely different, or that Liam Neeson's character will be pushed to his physical and mental limits.
After a short while, an attractive woman (Vera Farmiga) sits down next to him and asks a simple, slightly unsettling question: "What kind of person are you?" Influenced by her personal charm and an envelope full of cash, Michael lets himself be drawn into a strange and deadly game. He must find someone on the train who doesn't belong there. If he fails, he'll lose his family; if he succeeds, he gets a reward. Refusal is not an option. The train speeds on, the mysterious mastermind of the game watches his every move, and the distance to the final station is shrinking. Before it stops, the insane situation on the train turns into a frantic search, fights, and gunfire. Is it a game or a calculated crime? Who is the mysterious stranger on the train, and why does he have to find them?
