Streichl Josef: Streichl (5x CD) - CD

The Galén publishing house has released a five-page set of his studio albums for Josef Streichl' s late seventies.

Josef Streichl (8. September 1949 - August 11, 2013), all called Pepa, was a Czech singer. He began performing publicly in the late 1960s, and in 1969 was even convicted of playing a song against the Russian occupation.
Later, he gradually “found himself“ in blues music. He played mostly alone or in various groups, especially with Richard Kroczek Sr. He always moved a bit in the shadow of his more sovereign colleagues, some of whom, for example, Jaromír Nohavic or Vlasta Redl, personally helped to establish himself on folk stages.
In the early 1990s, he suffered a stroke that he overcame. After 1989, he recorded several studio records, which are no longer available at smaller publishing companies.
On the occasion of Josef Streichl' s late seventies, all of his studio albums were reissued in 2019, supplemented by an album containing unreleased domestic and live recordings from the estate.
The limited edition of the set of five CDs is supplemented by a forty-page booklet, which contains lyrics, an interview with Ondřej Bezr and small memories of Streichl' s colleagues.
