Stromboli: Fiat Lux - LP

Academic sculptor Michal Blažek and photographer and cinematographer Jan Malíř worked on the cover, which is based on the original, famous, debut.

The beginnings of the group Stromboli moving on the border of rock and new waves date back to the spring of 1985, when they formed as an occasional band for a live concert of the Michal Pavlíček trio at the Jazz Prague festival, composed of guitarist Michal Pavlíček, bassist Vladimír Guma Kulhánek and drummer Klaudius Kryšpín. In February 1986, the group was renamed Stromboli (inspired by Pavlíček' s experience of seeing the eruption of the volcano of the same name).

Two members added: vocalist Bára Basiková (who came from the Precedent) and keyboardist Vendula Kašpárková, and Gumu Kulhánka were replaced by Jiří Veselý. A regular guest was also Vilém Čok, who sang the most media-famous song Stromboli Ó hory, ó hory. The debut double album was released in Panton under the name Michal Pavlíček - Stromboli in 1987.

Four compositions were based on a text by a poem by Christian Morgenstern translated by Jiří Hiršal, and the others were lined by Zuzana Michnová, Josef Novotný and Vilém Čok. Two years later, Panton released the album Shutdown.

All music was composed again by Michal Pavlíček, the lyrics are the work of Martin Němec, Michael Žantovský, Michal Horáček and Ondřej Hejma.
