Studio: Kalevala - CD

Kalevala is the second album from the Brno group Ateliér. After their debut album “PůlCédé“, the band decided to delve deeper into the stories of the individual songs and draw the listeners into a mythical, mysterious and magical village, which it calls “Kalevala“.

The band Ateliér enjoys looking for their own distinctive sound, which is why they decided to go in a new direction for their new album Kalevala. This new direction is a bit sharper, more danceable, but even for slow and bitter songs there is enough space left. However, the new album still features the musical elements from which the Studio came, namely elements of folk, world music, rock and folk music.
The songs on this album are inspired mainly from journeys through the inhospitable and wild landscapes of the north and east. It is easy for listeners to identify with their texts, in which everyone who is looking for themselves can be found, whether in distant lands or within themselves.
