Sudden Silence

NINETEEN YEARS AGO, THEY VANISHED.

WITHOUT A TRACE. WITHOUT ANSWERS…

Before he became a private investigator, David Raker was a journalist. During that time, three women disappeared without a trace in Cornwall. They had been filming a documentary about the brother of one of the women, who had suddenly vanished eleven years earlier. But then they disappeared too… And the mystery has haunted Raker ever since.

Now, however, David is working on a seemingly unsolvable case. After a serious car accident, Preston Stewart undergoes facial reconstruction surgery, but when the bandages are removed, Preston's wife immediately knows something is wrong. The man under the bandages is not her husband.

At first, the mystery of Preston Stewart seems to be a completely unrelated case. But the deeper David delves into the investigation, the more clearly a terrifying connection to the long-forgotten mystery emerges. Along with former detective Healy, he has just forty-eight hours to uncover the truth, otherwise not only will they be in danger, but so will everyone they care about. And time is running out…
