Summer Guests

Maggie and her friends from the Martini Club have put their years of adventurous secret service work behind them, and in their golden years, they want nothing more than the peace and quiet they've found in a sleepy seaside town. However, the shadows of the past sometimes reach even the most remote of places. The somewhat monotonous local life is disrupted by the usual summer influx of tourists, and the young police chief, Jo, suddenly has her hands full. But this year, she has to deal with something far more serious than the usual noisy drunks, public disturbances, and petty thefts: a young girl has disappeared from her house by the lake. Suspicion falls on one of the local residents. However, Maggie is convinced of his innocence, so she and her former colleagues join the investigation, forging a fragile alliance with Jo. The police chief must not only cope with the investigation itself and the pressure from the missing girl's wealthy family, but also with a bunch of sometimes overly-enthusiastic pensioners. And when clues lead to an old, unsolved murder and dark secrets hidden for years, the situation becomes even more complicated…
