Sunset Boulevard - DVD

Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, the aging queen of silent film, and William Holden as the failed screenwriter who becomes a slave to her madness, create some of the most remarkable characters on the screen in Sunset Boulevard. Performed by the three-time Academy Award winner® Billy Wilder's bizarre story has become a true film classic. From the unforgettable opening scene to the inevitable fulfillment of tragic destiny, the film is a perfect testament to the dark and desperate side of Hollywood. Erich von Stroheim as the explorer, ex-husband and butler to Desmond, and Nancy Olson as the bright spot amidst the ruthless menace, also deserve recognition for their masterful performances.
