Svatobor Macák: Body and Soul - CD

The CD " Body & Soul" was created as a celebration of the newly reached 80th birthday of the leading Czech jazz saxophonist Svatobor Macák (born in. 13.10.1935). The album presents a total of eleven jazz standards; the dramaturgy does not deviate from the given genre and the link is of course the saxophone. Nevertheless, a considerable variety of arrangements was also achieved, mainly thanks to the different playing styles of the accompanying musicians - the protagonist's long-time friends and bandmates. The listeners get an hour-long recording of pleasant and lively jazz music-making.
