Sylvian, David: Gone To Earth (Edition 2019) (2x LP) - LP

David Sylvian (born David Alan Batt, February 23, 1958) is an English singer, songwriter and musician who came to the fore in the late 1970s as the frontman of Japan.

The band' s androgynous look and increasingly electronic sound made them an important influence on Britain' s new romantic scene in the early 1980s. After their breakup, Sylvian embarked on a solo career with his debut album Brilliant Trees (1984).

His solo work has been described by AllMusic as “far-reaching and esoteric“ and included collaborations with artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Robert Fripp, Holger Czukay and Fennesz.
