Talking Heads: Remain in Light

LP Record In 1980, this album came as a somewhat – and pleasant! – surprise from veterans Talking Heads. Byrne and his team were joined by guitar god Adrian Belew, funk legend Bernie Worrell on keys, and Steven Scales on percussion. Along with other musicians, they created a much fuller and funkier sound than on previous albums. The first three songs are individual dance parties, repeating musical and lyrical lines endlessly. What's more, the melodies are incredibly catchy and will stay in your head for days. "Once in a Lifetime" was a huge hit, but the most rock-oriented track is number three, "The Great Curve".
