Ten keys to reality
In his book Ten Keys to Reality, Nobel Prize winner in Physics and popularizer Frank Wilczek offers readers a clear yet profound explanation of our physical reality based on the latest findings of modern science. He compares a thorough understanding of the often very counterintuitive conclusions of contemporary physics to a rebirth - it requires a reevaluation of the mental models about how the world works that we all built in childhood. Instead of describing bare facts, he is primarily concerned with a comprehensive statement of how the universe looks and works: There is a lot of space, time, matter, and energy (including that which has not yet been seen), yet only a few elementary ingredients and laws. Everything is subject to constant change, all the complexity of the world, human consciousness, society and civilization emerges through evolution. At the end of the book, the author emphasizes the interconnectedness of everything living and non-living across the entire cosmos and, in a convincingly humanistic spirit, calls on us to free ourselves from prejudice, to have the broadest possible empathy and to exercise moral responsibility.
It is published in cooperation with Argo Publishing House.
