Lyrics by one of the greatest musicians of our history. In original and Czech translation.
Bob Dylan is one of music's greatest, cultural and indeed social icons of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries - his songs were referenced by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits, but also Salman Rushdie, Allen Ginsberg, Václav Havel or Barack Obama. There is perhaps no point in listing all the awards Dylan has received during his quite extraordinary creative career - from numerous Grammys to the Oscars, the Golden Globe, the Pulitzer Prize, a flood of honorary doctorates and the Nobel Prize for Literature; suffice it to say that he has released thirty-eight albums, sold over one hundred and twenty million records, and his songs form the very heart of the canon of contemporary popular music.
The three-volume bilingual set presents Dylan's complete lyrics from the beginning of his career to the present, i.e. from Bob Dylan's 1961 album to his last original album The Tempest in 2012, plus lyrics not included on studio albums. It offers so-called. mirror edition: on the left Dylan's original, on the opposite page the Czech translation of Gita Zbavitelova.
