Michaela Duffková
Michaela Duffková (1992) came to public attention as the author of the blog Zápisník alkoholičky (An Alcoholic's Notebook), for which she won a Magnesia Litera award. Her open personal testimony about female alcoholism was also published as a successful book and has been adapted into a film. Michaela continues to address the topic of addiction through both her writing and therapy work. Her initiative led to the creation of the Alkos addiction treatment centre. She followed up her first book with the titles Zápisník abstinentky (A Sober Woman's Notebook) (2021) and Zápisník nealkoholičky (A Non-Alcoholic's Notebook) (2024). In addition to her publishing and therapeutic activities, she devotes most of her time to her three children.
