The body in psychotherapy
This almost classic book is still a recognised work in the field of body-oriented psychotherapy. In his integrative approach, the author drew on the methods of many prominent figures such as Alexander Lowen, Moshe Feldenkrais, Stanley Keleman, Albert Pesso, John Pierrakos, Virginia Satir, and Erving Polster, while considering Wilhelm Reich to be the founder of body-oriented psychotherapy. In his book, the author introduces the most effective aspects of bioenergetics, Gestalt psychotherapy, Pesso Boyden psychomotor therapy, Reichian orgonomy and other approaches, and mentions a number of practical therapeutic techniques. The author's perspective is holistic, exploring the various paths from a dysfunctional personality to a natural state of being.
